Brenda Taulbee transplanted to Portland from Missoula Montana in 2012. Her writing attempts to unravel the tangled knot of space, distance, and interpersonal relationships.
Brenda had her first public reading in September 2012 through the Stone Soup Reading series, and has been addicted to performance poetry ever since. She self-published her first chapbook, “Dances with Bears …And Other Ways to Lose a Limb” in June 2013. Her work has been accepted for publication in several online and literary magazines, including the Gobshite Quarterly, The Inflectionist Review, and UnderGround Books.
The pinnacle of her poetic career was petting Andrea Gibson’s dog, Squash.
